Inspiration from Music

Artists get their inspiration from everywhere . . . from a walk in the woods to a walk in the city, from young people to old people, from sunrise to sunset and from other artists. While blog surfing the other day I came across someone who I would call, "a gold mine of inspiration".� Christine Kane is a song writer/singer who not only makes beautiful, inspiring music, but also shares a wealth of knowledge about cultivating the creative spirit within.� I could spend hours reading her archived posts, but I have to control myself and keep it to a couple a day.� Here's one of my favorites, 21 Ways to Be More Creative, check it out.

A Surprise in the Mail

Yesterday I received this wonderful little bird house from Annie.  She uses cracked vintage china to create her artwork.  Beautiful!

A Little of This and That

I can't believe it's July already!  Jessica and I had the opportunity to spend a few wonderful days at The Art Nest, which was held close to home here in Utah.  We attended workshops taught by Misty Mawn, Kristin Steiner, and Sally Jean Alexander.  What awesome teachers in a beautiful mountain setting!

We were so inspired by this little retreat that our new July web update will be all about "Nesting".  We'll be retiring the Cowboys and Indians ephemera sheet and replacing it with little birds and the new quote sheet has a nesting theme.  The new updates will be available by the end of the week, along with a new card for July.  Here's the sneak preview:

Oh, and by the way . . . we are experiencing some technical difficulties with our newsletter and hoping to resolve this soon.
